Burn Direct
See report Brisbane internet

I need to pass this onto you and feel free to pass it on to others.

This is what happens when you buy from EBay.

I recently won an auction. Upon receipt of invoice, I transferred the funds. I made a typo and transferred an amount less $1.00. The seller then tried to say that I owed them more than the invoice.
The seller, Burn Direct, tried all sorts of tactics to deny over charging me. They said to eBay that I was a scammer, yet each time I proved that they tried to increase the price they would hide behind EBay.

I contacted EBay Australia via Email to report and prove that the seller was trying to charge me more than the invoice. What did EBay do? Nothing. The seller is listed as a Power seller, so I guess they are in a select group of do not upset. They also charged me $15.90 for express post that took from the 17th March to 20th March to travel from Brisbane to Browns Plains. (for O/S readers, that's about 30 minute drive) I Looked at their site on EBay, and they continually blame Aust Post in their feed backs. I checked with Aust Post and a 500gram Express Post satchel from Brisbane to Browns Plains is only $7.40.

The seller BURN DIRECT, was quick to close the dispute, once a copy of the EBay invoice that was sent tome and them, and I forwarded this to them again, clearly showed that they tried to charge me more than the invoice amount. The amount they tried to over charge me was $2.00. You may think that this is not much. If we as consumers allowed this occur every day, how much would we over pay to satisfy the retailer? This seller has sold over 3000 items; I think most people would agree, if you added a dollar here and there, that's a nice bonus. I stood up for my rights as a consumer and fought back.

Now, If I was to accept this, then what would stop all retailers/sellers overcharging consumers a dollar here a dollar there. It is a fact, that they tried to alter an Invoice to suit them, and EBay Australia simply ignored it.

Tatics of burn direct.

Burn Direct tell you, you can pick up. Catch, you have to organize this via email. As we found out, My Wife went to the store in Fortitude Valley, yet at the store they denied all knowledge and state they are separate identities. Store site: http://burn.com.Au

Another Burn direct tactic:

Why would a company do this?
Burn Direct will accuse the consumer all the time:
This is what EBay sent me and Burn Direct

This is what Burn direct sent:

Received from:
Amount: AU$72.4
Payment Method: Bank Deposit

Now, note the difference.

Why is the consumer wrong? This seller tried to increase the invoice. I do have the original; I have deleted my personal details.

Once again I accept I made a typo, but to have them Increase the invoice, and then deny all knowledge, just shows how much consumer protection has failed in an Australia. Even EBAY seems to be exempt from protecting the consumer.

Please forward this to all
