Rip off scam con artists fraud

The items I received from US1DIGITAL (also known as US1CAMERA and WORLD TRADE DIGITAL) were not what I had ordered and I am now unable to return the items. The vender would not issue a return authorization on the very day I received the shipment. After 2 months of discussion with American Express Customer Service, who initially told me not to ship the products back, we attempted to return the package unused in exchange for a complete refund. Unfortunately, the delivery was rejected by the vender.

When I placed my order on May 10th, I asked the sales person (Michael), if the camera listed below had a United States warranty. I was told Yes, of course! When I asked him if I could return the products if I was unhappy with them, I was told Yes, for up to 30 days - no charge. I asked him to send a copy of my complete order via email I never received this email. Upon opening the package 2 days later, I realized that I was deceived.

The camera had a United Kingdom warranty *completely* invalid in the United States. Additionally, the memory wasn't the brand I had requested, the carrying case was the not the same high-end model I was promised, and the extended warranty agreement is not with Canon, but with "Mack Camera" and it requires me to send the camera with a $30 non-refundable charge (not a no-charge warranty with Best Buy, CompUSA, or Canon Direct as the salesperson claimed.)

I immediately called US1DIGITAL the day I received the items and was told I could return the items but incur a 15% restocking fee even though the incorrect items had been shipped by their warehouse. When I told them that that was unacceptable I had been told first-hand that there were no restocking fees, especially since the items were not what I ordered they then outright refused to issue me a return authorization.

I spoke to American Express and they asked me to hold onto the merchandise since US1DIGITAL would not accept a return, and to wait a few weeks while they investigated. I called US1DIGITAL back 2 weeks later and was again denied a return authorization (as well as an address) as I was told it was past the 14 day return period. As I mentioned before, I had been told I had 30 days.

Contrary to their claims, I *never* received a copy of their return policy in the package, nor did I receive it through email. The page on their website outlining the return policy has been broken for months and customers have been unable to read the policy online I have a browser screenshot outlining the error. I also have copies of all correspondence.

As of right now, I am still in waiting with American Express after 5 months.
