I ordered a hard copy of a book from Overstock and they sent a softcover. When I told them the reason for return was that it was advertised as hardcover, (and I took a copy of the page showing the items advertising as hardcover!), they responded that it was definetely softcover. I went today to look at the item again and lo and behold, it now said softcover. I also have a dated copy of the changed page.
Oh, they also offered that I could send the book back for $4 and change and they would think about refunding my money.
I didn't spend a lot of money for the book, I only wanted a hardcover of Harry Potter number 3 because my copy is falling apart from all the kids I have read it to. I know a softcover isn't going to last even half as long so I wanted a hardcover. Make sure if you order something from this cmpany, take a printscreen of the ad page in case they try to pull something on you!
