FreeMoneyOnGrants.com charged me multiple times for useless information Internet

FreeMoneyOnGrants.com purports to give you access to all you need to obtain a grant for any use. They lie. The information they give is just the basic information on Grant providers that can be found by a general internet search.

I am disabled and living on a fixed Social Security income. I thought that this site may help me find grant providers that would help me with medical bills and other expenses. I also was interested in their claim that they could list multiple grant providers that would provide funds to purchase a home. I understood that there was a monthly fee associated with this service and I agreed to pay it since I believed their claims. I was impressed with their claim to provide help to obtain the grants. After trying their service, I realized that their claims are false. They do not offer any help, just a list of sources that could be found elsewhere. The sources they list do not offer the grants that FreeMoneyOnGrants.com advertises that they offer.

In addition, I had trouble with them charging my account multiple times for the same monthly fee. I kept their service for three months while I investigated the various providers listed. I had come to the decision to unsubscribe and had attempted to contact them using the only email address that I could find for them, which was their Sales department. Evidently, they do not have a Customer Service group. I sent an email to the sales department to cancel and I received no response. Then my account was charged for the next month 4 days ahead of where it should have been charged. I once again contacted them via that email address. Again, no answer. Except no my account showed an additional 3 charges for the monthly fee within two days. I sent another email complaining about the multiple charges. Their response was to charge my account with another monthly fee. At that point I went to my bank and filed a fraud complaint.

Thankfully, my bank was able to put a stop to the charges and refund the over $500 in overdraft fees caused by the multiple charges. I had to cancel my bankcard and get a new one issued, which necessitated me changing my billing preferences for multiple other bills I had on auto pay. The bank did have a phone number for FreeMoneyOnGrants.com that came up on the fraud report and also showed up on the charge details for the monthly fees. I called them and finally received a cancellation number. Two days later I received an email from them stating that there had been an error in my billing and they were reversing the multiple charges. They never acknowledged any previous contact from me reporting those overcharges.

Long story short, don't believe the online grant finders. They don't really do anything except take your money. The Foundation Center publishes a book each year listing foundations that provide grants to individuals. It is called "Foundation Grants to Individuals" and can be found at most libraries. Save yourself the money and just check the book out from your local library.
