I contacted David Thompson of Thompson Edition via email to inquire about purchasing a case for my French Horn. David responded with a lot of detail about why his case was better than any others in the price range & assured me he had a case in stock to fit my horn.
I completed a Visa transaction for $302.00 Cdn on March 2 through his website www.thompsonedition.com and was told the case would be sent via postal mail.
It never arrived.
I have sent a number of email messages to Mr. Thompson requesting confirmation that the case was sent. When I didn't receive any responses I called the Rock Hill office in South Carolina & left a message. Again, no response. I then sent a fax with a copy of my invoice & another request for confirmation that the case had been sent. I waited another couple of weeks without hearing back from him & sent an email request for a refund, which hasn't happened.
Mr. Thompson is the principle French Horn player for the Barcelona Philharmonic Orchestra. I believed I was dealing with an honest person. I can only conclude I was wrong.
