I, as others here, have had problems with Internet Speedway. When I first called to cancel it was a few days after the cancellation date, but I had a good reason - my mother-in-law was diagnosed with brain cancer and we up and left in a hurry to fly there. I was told that I could not cancel, but would be upgraded to Bronze and have my website built for me. I stupidly said ok.
A few days later, I called and said no. I want my money taken off my card and to cancel... The products were overpriced, the shipping overpriced so there is no way you can sell the products. Unless of course you upgraded. I told them I would fax or send copies of the tickets stating it was medical emergency flights. They said no. I said no.
I did not hear from them for 6 months. Then, boom, my credit card was hit with a charge from them and a letter arrived the same week saying I needed to pay them $279.96 or else. I called, explained, was transferred, explained again, was transferred, told the supervisor to ask what was going on because I was not going to explain again. Was told I owed it even though I was not using it and had never used it. They threatened me with their collections. I threatened them with a lawyer.
I am now in the process of getting the charge removed from my card, which will hopefully happen soon!
