I have never encountered such a rip off company. They never delivered the modem they were supposed to, as it was sent to someone else. I Called repetitively but got no where with their various reps in India. Then they proceeded to charge my credit card for 7 months, during which I spent hours on the phone getting promises of cancellations and refunds never sent.
After this thief company had taken a total of over $220 from my account I finally had to cancel my credit card to stop their stealing money. With each call I got the person's name and ID number (when I could) and reference numbers for the cancellation and refunds promised, but they never did anything.
You cannot call their world headquarters to complain as this rip off company makes you go back through their India offices waiting hours to register each complaint. This is the most dishonest, rip off company I have ever seen. If you use Earthlink, you are asking to be ripped off.
Personally, I think the US Attorney General should investigate this company that is ripping off many other Americans the same way.in my last call, they actually promised to cancel my account again, but then charged me a cancellation fee of an additional $50. Remember, I never received any equipment, never used the service, and still this company of thieves stole money from my accounts for months until I finally had to cancel my credit card number in order to stop their thieving ways.
Earthstink is the proper name for this company whose obvious goal is to steal from as many Americans as they can before some sane prosecutor steps in and ends their obvious crimes.
