Warrock is a free2play multiplayer gaming system that you have the option of buying a membership to get upgraded features. There are 3 different levels of memberships that you can purchase with the "gold" membership being the highest level. I recently bought their gold membership package. Shortly after, i also bought the game in the retail box. (which i will explain why later)

You can move up in the ranks by continuously playing, and you can buy different items with your fake money that you earn while playing.

They have a "customer support" system made up of the consumer sending them a ticket by first logging in to the server and then filling out the info to submit. The staff will then supposedly view the ticket and respond back. According to the website, PAID memberships get the highest priority for customer support.

Take Note: This site is apparently run by a bunch of kids, and you can be rest assured that if you play there for any extended period of time and want service, you WILL BE TREATED LIKE A KID.

ALSO... ONE THING to keep in mind if you are seriously thinking about buying a membership (or obtaining a free one) is that... You have no rights. No gray area... Plain and simple.

Anyway,
I purchased a one month gold membership during the middle of july. I played for approximately one week until a huge bug caused me to not be able to play for over 1 week (while my membership was running out). I submitted a ticket during the downtime expressing my concern as to why the game was not working and if i could be credited with the downtime. I then received an AUTOMATED generalized response from the system saying they were doing everything they can to get the system back up. It even said on the email that it was automated. I realized that they obviously didnt read my email to my concern for a credit.
I then emailed them again and their response was a bunch of cut and pasted paragraphs from their terms of service basically stating that they could do whatever they want to the system and to my account, and they dont have to credit me or refund my account. (so far, GREAT customer service, the perfect way to address your highest paying member)

My problem is i initially liked the game so much, i initally bottled it up and moved on. Shortly after my bout with the customer service BOTS, the game was working again and i was back to briefly enjoying it with my nephew.

I then found out that you could buy a retail box version of this game. It is sold at a few designated retail stores for $20. The attractive part was that it included a few free weapons and included a month of gold membership. The site blatently claims that you actually get 2 months of gold membership, but this my friend is a LIE. I believe they say this to coax people into going out to buy the retail box. I am pretty certain there are laws in itself against this. At no point during my installation and running of the retail box version did the system show me that i will be getting 2 months of gold service.

FURTHERMORE, since i already had an existing gold membership before i bought the retail box version, i figured (for natural business practices) that the memberships would run one after the other. Another misconception. The system clearly showed me that it was automatically starting the new gold membership and it basically OVERLAPPED my previous one (which had about 15 days left). WHAATTT? What kind of a business would do this? Oh K2. So basically after i should have about 2 1/2 months of gold service left, what do i have??? 1 month!

TODAY (JULY 30) i decided to play a quick game. I logged into the server like any other time and it said my password was incorrect. Naturally, i knew it wasnt, so i went to the website (www.warrock.net) to log into the site to see what was going on. It ALSO denied my password. They have a feature where you can have your account information emailed to the address that you signed up with. I then attempted to use that function. The system then told me "the email address you entered is not associated with any warrock account"!!!
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

Basically, my account VANISHED. The GREAT part is that i would like to contact customer service... You have to submit a ticket by LOGGING INTO THE ACCOUNT FIRST. If i cant log in, how am i supposed to submit a ticket? Keep in mind, this is the ONLY means to get support... Unless you want to go to the "forums".

The forums are where you can find tips and strategies, attempt to debug technical issues and the like. One thing to remember about this forum is that you feel like you have to walk on pins and needles when posting anything. If you post anything REMOTELY negative to the issues you are having, or about the service you are getting, or anything... You will be banned. (throw out free speech) Remember, this is where the warrock site encourages you to go to try to solve your issues. (the only other method other than submitting a ticket). These forums are moderated by gamers that can be nothing but a bunch of KIDS. They may know something about the game at hand and about computers, but throw out ANY other serious customer service.

The following is the text of a thread that i created on the site where I attempted to reach out and get some answers to my problems:

Good Grief, What Happened To My Account?

"I tried to log in this morning to play and it said my password was invalid... I then went to the warrock website to try to log in... The same thing. I then attempted to utilize the "forgot login" function. It tells me my email is not associated with any account on warrock. Id like to submit a support ticket, but i CANT LOGIN to do so. I am nearly a level 7, with obviously not hacking or any of that crap. So, what am i supposed to do now???

Any help is truly appreciated "

" This is rediculous. What the Hell am i supposed to do here. I cant even submit a freakin ticket because it says i have NO ACCOUNT!!! I seriously cannot believe i was dumb enough to buy a gold membership AND THEN go out and buy the retail box."

KARGOTH, an ADMINISTRATOR, responded to my thread and said the following:

"Go to www.warrock.net and log into the account on that site. You can then submit a support ticket.

We do not provide account assistance on the forums only the CS reps can help you

Also in order to get your password you need to use the e-mail address that was used to create the account so try ALL e-mail addresses you have."

I then responded:

"I dont mean to be rude, but did you even read my posts? How am i supposed to submit a support ticket when i cant even LOG IN. Once again, i went to the "forgot login" page and tried to email my account information and it tells me that my email address is not associated with any account on warrock. So, what your saying is... in essence... I have no support...

If YOU GUYS cannot help me... And the warrock website cannot help me... Who, may i ask is going to help me!?!?!?"

A forum lurker trying to help me said:

" You'll probably most likely need to create a new account, submit a ticket and describe about your account, previous passwords, secret answers, your registered email account, etc."

KARGOTH, the forum administrator then responded again saying:

"You have to use the e-mail that was used to create the account. I can tell you it is not the one that you used to make this forum account so either it is not your account and are attempting to scam someone else's account or you are not using the right one."

I responded back saying:

"Im sorry, but that is inaccurate. I DID use the correct email. I can pm you proof if you want. I am NOT attempting to scam someone and I am NOT using the incorrect email address or account. I used the SAME email address to make this forum account as i did to make my warrock account. As i said, if you want proof, i can show you. If you... Just dont want to believe me, i dont know what else to say to convince you of what is going on."

Shortly after writing that i was given an IP BAN from the forum. How could i possibly be banned for something like that. Because KARGOTH didnt believe me or admit he might be wrong? This is an example of their "highly qualified" staff.

But then again i shouldnt give much hope to an administrator named "KARGOTH"

Also note: upon creating my account on the forum, i was listed as member #89,773. That means that there were nearly 90,000 people who have registered accounts on these forums. At the time of my postings there were maybe 30-50 signed in! How many others were stupidly banned? I bet you can take an estimated guess!

I took the one persons advice and opened another warrock account in order to submit a support ticket. Shortly after submitting the ticket, my account was locked!

This is where i am at at this point, i will update as it becomes available.
