Getting the runaround ripoff

I purchased a refurbished laptop from these people on 6/6/07, paid extra for 2-day delivery. Checked online status, it said it was picked up and would be delivered on the 8th. The 8th came, no computer. Called them on the phone and they said it was lost and I would have to fill out a claim on it. I called DHL. They said they never scanned it at the site.

So I have to jump through all these hoops and fill out claim reports for ECOST and DHL. They said it could take up to 30 days to do so. I checked the status several times and each time no one could give me a definitive answer on anything.

After 30 days still got no suitable answers. (I didn't mention that all these conversations involved about an hour total waiting on hold. Lucky for me I paid with Bill Me Later. So now I have to file a dispute with them and jump through more hoops so I don't have to make payments on something I don't have.

Buyer beware, you are better off spending the extra $200. And going to your nearest Circuit City or Best Buy. Nobody at this place knows what the heck is going on anywhere else in the company. You never get a straight answer. They must be run by the government.
