American Computer Supplies called a little while ago and offered to send us some ribbons to try. They sent a box for free containing 4 ribbons for our dot matrix printer. We were not satisfied but didn't want to send them back since they were so cheap. We told them that will be all that we would need.
Two months later they called saying we were obligated to order more ink. Our new replacement for our inventory position who did not know about the company took the order and ordered 3 more ribbons (that were not the same price they offered us previously, about 200$ more). After payment of this order the company sent us some Wal-Mart gift cards which we used to purchase genuine inkjet ink from Wal-Mart for our inkjet printers. Thinking oh that's nice of them.
A month after that I received another call stating that we are obligated to accept 12 boxes of ribbons. I declined and told them to stop. She then said you can order ink for another printer totaling $900 and they will close my account. I did because again we needed ink for our laser. They gave a great deal and I purchased 2. (ink from HP was $550). I received a fax stating my account is closed.
They called again after the purchase and said I was obligated to purchase more. The sales rep really angered me and hung up the phone. I called and left a complaint message to the person, in which, I was told was in charge. I stated I will not purchase anymore ink, nor do I want anyone to call our company ever again.
This morning I received a call from a person who claimed they were the closing executive. Saying they will drop the 10 boxes to half, then to 3, then to 2 and close the account.
This company lied to us, tried to insult me by saying, I gave you a gift card and I need to speak to your boss, not knowing I used the cards for the company's gain and my boss knows about it all. Not to mention I do not have a written agreement with them. They keep calling and won't stop. Do not do business with such unprofessional telemarketers.
I've still not been able to completely get rid of them; I don't know how to make them stop.
