I made the mistake of innocently filling out a questionnaire online to get some "free" daylily bulbs, one screen leads to another (you're almost there!) and you think, well I've gone this far I may as well finish.
One of the offers was a coffee grinder and 2 bags of coffee beans for $9.00, and I thought, yeah I like coffee see I took that one. Oh boy, what a mistake. When the grinder came the beans were mediocre at best in 12 oz bags (not even a lb).
But the kicker was my credit card bill (they didn't have a bill enclosed, I found out when I read my bill online later) that they charged me $34.00, not $9.00. Apparently it cost $25.00 to ship all this! I should have called them right then and there, but I didn't. I thought I had a little time.
Only 2 weeks later I got another shipment of 2 12 oz bag of beans. I looked at my credit card bill online and was astonished to see that they had charged $36.95 for less that 2 lb of coffee! So I called in what I thought was a pretty timely fashion, about a week and was told that they had already shipped another shipment (that would be 3 shipments in 1 months time) and I could see that my credit card was already charged another $36.95.
I told them I would be returning the third shipment and the lady told me that I would have to pay the postage to do that. I asked for the confirmation number on the credit for my credit card and at first she wouldn't give it to me saying I didn't need it and when I obviously wasn't satisfied with that I believe she made up a number to get me off her back (the number she gave me: 577757). By the way, I never got any daylilies, and nothing is EVER free!
