AOL America Online Unauthorized ripoff Charges to my Visa Account

This month my Visa account was charged $79.99 by AOL Autoadvantage and $69.99 by AOL NetMarket. I called Visa and got the Phone numbers for these two companies. Both told me they could not locate my account. (I had no account with them and had not placed an order) I was advised to send a copy of my Visa bill and they would correct the error. I called Visa back and was able to get the charges removed without sending anything to AOL. I was advised that these businesses were marketing businesses and not AOL even though they were somehow connected to AOL. I sent an email to AOL explaining what these two businesses had done and got back a reply providing me with the phone numbers for them. No apology or explanation why AOL would allow such low life's to use their name.

Needless to say I will never use AOL internet services again. I had internet service with AOL for two years and cancelled about two months ago when we purchased a new computer and received MSN free for one year. What a sleezy company. I understand I was not the only person whose credit card was charged without authorizaion. This should be illegal.
