Purchased a 37 Inch Hannspree LCD from Buy.com on Jan 29. This came with a 200.00 rebate From Connect3D
18 weeks and still no rebate, Started investagating and found numerous complaints of the same situation.
Filed complaints with FTC BBB and received only formed replies of thank you Called Buy.com and they admit there is a problem and have to date offered no solution. Seems to me that Buy.com needs to honor this rebate it was their site that offered the rebate and lured us all into buying these items.
Hanspee also acknowledged complaints but told me that they do not offer rebates that they only manufactured the item. Big apology from them.
Bottom line apologies are free and somebody needs to be charged with fraud. The internet is full of complaints reguarding Connect3d do a google search.
