Tiger Direct and Onrebate have banded together to cheat me out of a $70 rebate, which I KNOW I filed for properly. I know this because I always double check everything, make sure everything is included, and I read all instructions carefully. I've been filing for rebates with other companies in this same fashion for years.
In my first and last encounter with TD and OR, I encounter this catch of theirs: they tell you in advance that copies of UPC codes are not allowed, so you don't make copies. THEN they deny you your rebate on the basis of the UPC supposedly not having been submitted. BUT THEY HAVE IT THEN you try following up with them, only to be told that there's nothing they can do because of their "policy." TOTAL B.S.!
A company's "policy" can be WHATEVER they WANT it to be! They want to you to think they're just standing by their policy, but what they're really doing is HIDING BEHIND IT so they can make their ripoff look legitimate.
