PCCOFA failed to pay in full for the website I provided for him under contract extension ripoff

Mr. Warner proposed that I do a website for him for under $500. I bid $400 for the project, which had a predesigned template and most of the copy written. There were numerous features that needed to be added, including a content management system, that pushed the price up.

When the contract started, Mr. Warner included a variety of modifications to the template that were excessively difficult to build, and in my opinion not included in the original contract.

We decided to add an extra $100 to the contract. This was a mutually agreeable contract extension. When this was complete I decided to throw in a logo for his website that wasn't bid for in either the original contract or the extension.

Despite my niceties to this client, when it came time to pay, he decided to withhold the $100 that was a part of the amended contract, so that I could repair a tech support issue with his computer.

Please note that the website was delivered at this point and did not have any tech support issues for a standard PC. Also, website delivery was the basis of the contractual agreement to pay, not the conclusion of tech support.

Mr. Warner needs to realize that he can not run a contract roughshod when asking for a discount contract, and that when payment is requested from a contractor when certain provisions are fulfilled, as per the contract, then this payment should be made IN FULL. This includes all amended provisions of the contract.
