I had been with Time Warner Cable for many years. I decided to cancel my services with TWC in May. I took back all of my equipment in the original condition and boxes. Had all the remotes, cords, and boxes. When cancelling my account with the Rep at the TWC facility on Whipple Ave in Canton Ohio I specifically asked what the total amount on my account was. She responded with the amount and I handed her the cash. I asked again, Does this mean I owe nothing further to TWC. She said yes and told me to keep my receipt if I was asked to pay anything later. Suprise... I received a bill int he mail stating I owed $08. Why I ask Why do I owe you more money when I paid my account in full and have the receipt. I was given to the complaint department and I gave all the information, sent the copies of the information and was told someone would be in contact with me after the holiday, which was Memorial Day. Guess what, no call, no letter, no contact from TWC. Now in November of I have been turned into a collection agency. For money I don't even owe. I was told I didn't full fill my contract. I asked to show me on my bill where it says if I cancel early or am even under a contract. There is nothing listed on the bill that states you are on a contract. Nothing that shows how many months, years etc you have until it is full filled. How do I owe this money and WHY.
