I wanted to try AOL to see if their website is faster than my current IP. Their ad stated 90 day free trial. I tried their site for one hour and didn't like it. Of course you have to call them to cancell, when I did all I got was a fast talking sellsman talking me into a one year contract at a reduced monthly price.in order to shut this guy up I agreed to the contract with the option to cancell before a certain date.
In the meanwhile my checking account is being charged $24.95 for two billing periods. When I asked about it I was told the free months comes in at the end of a one year contract.in addition to being billed for two months I was charged $20.00 for a cancellation fee. I cancelled before the contract date ever began.
Now I'm out $69.90 for 1 hour of service that was suppose to be FREE. All I can say is that AOL does false advertizing. I have contacted BBB and it's been some months now since I've heard from them.
