I purchased a laptop fropm Tiger Direct and all looked fine and we opened it and turned it on and... NOTHING but a error report.
It just so happens that the Laptop I purchased DID-NOT have an Operating System, (OS) When I whent to the printout of the item I purchased there was NOYHING stating that this laptop had no Operating system and NOWHERE telling me that I would need to purchase this Item seperately. It was a good price and I jumped but IF I were to know that it came basically as am empty shell I would never have purchased it. I checked my printout and it DID-NOT have anything about having to order an OS seperately. I sent them an e-mail showing them what I purchased and I received a reply " You don't have an OS with your laptop... (No-Kidding) Now the only way I figured that I could at least Break even was to order a new Emachine and return the COMPAQ for a full refund so I am practically getting it for just a bit over what I originally paid but I had them e-mail the Product that I was receiving and i got it from my order# and everything is there and that's what I orderes and I stressed aboul the OS and They assured me that it is there. I hope I did the right thing.
I also heard about the Rebate-Rip-Off and I too was informed that I would get a rebate on 2 items but when they arrived there were no forms and when I try to get to the rebate center I cet sent somewhere else. Can anything be done about any of this??? If so and you need more information from me Please feel free to contact me at either my home.
