I registered on GetACoder to find someone willing to do some xml coding work.in order to attract creditable contractors, the site has an option to post a $25 deposit which will be set off against the contracted price.in this way the request for coders gets flagged as having passed muster and people who want to do real business may be inclined to take the time to review the project and bid. Neat idea.
Got a few replies and on the communication board - which is monitored (another good idea to ensure people dont forget the terms of reference) - replied and clarified aspects of the work.
Next time I attempt to log on to see how things are going, I discover that I have been locked out from the site. Numerous emails to GetACoder support desk resulted only in automated responses. The outcome was that there was never any explanation or communication from them - they took the deposit and thats that - money gone - no service provided and they wasted the respondents time in to the bargain.

he end of the saga was that I found some other site that put me in touch with a web developer contractor who did great work - and I paid them their fee. So, stay away from GetACoder.com - thats my advice.
