Raheel Afzal Khan Buraq-Technologies.com Danishjibbran [email protected] [email protected] Rip Off Overseas Programer using scriptlance, elance, getacoder, rentacoder / Web Based

Positively AWFUL experience with this outfit, www.buraq-technologies.com, based out of Pakistan.

Had originally found them on scriptlance.com, but they are known to work on pretty much all of the code sourcing websites like elance.com, getacoder.com, rentacoder.com, project4hire.com, etc using multiple names (sharpdeveloper, sharp-effect, sharpeffect, danishjibbran are all known names, but I'm sure there are others) across a wide range of email addresses - [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], etc.

They have an OK reputation for working on very simple and easy projects like $50 web pages, but have a terrible habit of underbidding for complex projects.

The individual in question, Mr. Raheel Afzal (aka Raheel Afzal Khan) is their "business manager", while the coders themselves are another department. The coders did good work. The problem is, you have to go through the 'business manager' for everything.in the beginning, Raheel started off OK but over time, as it became clear that he had underbid, he became very unstable and started acting erratically. After many months of work, he actually quit the entire project - the day the final payment was due to be made - when our discretionary bonus offer wasn't 'paid up front' and his project extortion efforts failed. Of course, we soon realized why; they are now using the concepts that we were intimately involved in developing to steal/sell our idea.

Believe me, DO NOT use buraq technologies or Raheel Afzal for meaningful projects. Ignore their low bids. Spend a little more on a programmer elsewhere. This is a sham outfit with the business side being run by very immature (and I believe quite young) folks. They do not operate up to the standards expected in Western business.
