Getacoder - Peter Holmes complete ripoff Internet

I was doing projects on www.getacoder.com This is a website that people come to find program coders and website coders to help them with there website development needs. Www.getacoder.com has provided the website as a sort of bidding grounds so they are not in the bidding process themselves what so ever. They only provide a way for the buyer and seller to meet and to be able to exchange the project for the escrowed funds.

These projects are placed by people (buyers) not www.getacoder.com so www.getacoder.com has no right to the funds at all, they charge the buyer a fee to place the project and they also charge the coder a fee to except the project. If there was anything wrong with the projects when it comes to the funds they can only send the funds back to the person who has issued the funds, if I do not provide the service that I stated I will provide the funds can be returned to the buyer and this is determined through what is called arbitration in which case www.getacoder.com would be the arbitrator.
So if there is no complaint from a user then there is no reason what so ever for them not to pay me. (So I thought)

I have completed some projects and released these projects to the buyer and the buyer has released the funds to me. I have over $650.00 in my coder account and when I tried to request for the escrow to be sent to my PayPal account they refused.

I received an email from a Peter Holmes who stated that they want more information from me and for me to email them an identification card and a bill from my telephone.
Peter Holmes stated there was an Illegal situation detected as I responded to this email and requested the information on this so called Illegal situation there was nothing they could provide to me except that they said I was using two accounts one account for purchasing work to be done and one account for selling work to be done, in which case they stated that this is ok to do, I CAN have two accounts for purchasing and selling but it is against the rules to use these accounts to sell to yourself.

I asked for proof of this and they have never provided any proof but they did say they where going to give me a $30 fine for this so called Illegal situation that they could not provide proof of and that I can continue to use both of my accounts.

This is the email that was sent to me clearly showing they had no problem with me staying on to make them more money as long as I didn't want to receive the money:

Dear Sir,

Posting ghost projects at GetACoder for manners of rating increase is strictly prohibited. We are aware that you are using multiple accounts for that. We
monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressors on the spot.

We inform that the ghost project will be deleted as well as the rating and the funds reverted. Of course all users are allowed to have more than one account (one with the buyer profile and the other with seller for instance). What we do not allow and is totally unfair for our user community is to have users creating false feedback in order to improve their rating. Users work hard in order to get the deserved feedback and it is a quite unprofessional to gain feedback through other manners apart from hard work.

You are free to keep both your account but if we detect in the future some similar actions to these ALL your account will be permanently deleted. Moreover, you are now issued to pay a $30 penalty fee for this unprofessional behaviour. Please advise on the procedures to be done.

Sincerely,
Peter Holmes

Well as you can imagine I was not going to release to them the $30 I worked hard for so. I asked them to release all of my funds to my PayPal account and then we can close my account as I do not want to be a part of this community.

Well they closed my account but will not send me the funds; instead they ask me to send them identifiable information through an email, yea ok how amateurish can you get in this day and age to provide personal information through an email, an email is not a secure way of sending any personal information.

I have requested their mailing address and stated I will send it to them in the mail but they will not give out their mailing address (Fraudulent people will never give out there mailing address it makes it to easy for the cops to catch them)

If they are not in the process and there haven't been any complaints, all of the fees have been paid how can they say there is an Illegal situation? They are fraudsters!

I can go on for a long time about this website and I have many interesting emails from this fraudster Peter Holmes that I may add as time goes on. But I do want everyone out there to know that this is a website that you really need to avoid like the plague. I am sure there are users out there that have had it go ok for them after all if they screwed everyone over right of the bat then they would be shut down faster.

Do not risk doing business with them as you may be ok in the beginning but sooner or later they will keep your funds and then it will be too late.

They not only defraud the coders who are trying to make some extra money by providing a discounted service in a business that is to expensive already but they are keeping the buyers money as well. The users who higher coders are spending there very hard earned money to pay coders in which case the coders don't always receive the money. Many of the coders are from India or Pakistan and can do nothing to reach this fraudulent website owner but I can. If anyone else has had this experience with this dirty little website post it so it gets added in.
