I contracted with LC Technology to recover data on a compact disk for which I agreed to pay a $100 fee. When they told me that they were successful in recovering the data. I authorized payment by credit card. Upon return of the disk, I discovered that they had not recovered the data as they said they had. I returned the disk and was subsequently informed that they were unsuccessful in the second attemp whereupon I requested return of my money.
LC Technology refused to return my money on the grounds that their technicians now claim they were successful in recovering the data, this despite an earlier written admission of their lack of success and physical proof I had given them.
An attempt to resolve this through the Better Business Bureau failed and the BBB of Clearwater reports that this company has an unsatisfactory record with them.
