I love Craigslist, and let me start off by saying that this is not an attack on the site, but rather some of the crap that leaks into it. Craigs list has provided me with many legit job leads, but some scammers leak through. It's a big site, it's unavoidable.
Below is an email I recieved in reply to my resume, to a supposedly " Legit data entry job, making up to 500 dollars a week"
They didn't mention any fee's, but I was made aware that they do.
This is a very common email I hear, so anyone that recognizes this, STAY AWAY, they only want to rip you off through paypal.
"Hi, Let me start by saying my name is Cherie and I am a stay at home wife. When I started this I was curious if it was going to work. It really does. You just have to work a little bit everyday. DETAILS
This Home Based position gives you the opportunity to earn $250 - $550 per week. We are seeking only self-motivated people with the desire to work in this field.

You will be responsible for keeping track of your earnings for tax time. As we do not take out any taxes or provide you with a 1099 form.
TRAINING
The training materials you receive will give you step-by-step instructions on how to get started.
When you receive your training materials you may begin working on the same day.
There is no special software required for this
position.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
You will receive your payment through PayPal.
You are not going to be paid weekly; you will be paid for each application that you process.
There is a ONE-TIME non-refundable fee of $20.00 This cost will cover the training materials sent to you. Once you process your very first application, you will have made back this fee! I processed 7 orders on my
first day. One of my partners had 11 on her first day and by the end of week she could of processed 46 orders. Some start up fees are as high as $30.00 or more. We have tried to keep ours low. Please understand that as

This lady thinks I'm going to give her 20 bucks when she isn't even providing a company NAME or phone number? I don't think so.
This email is in large circulation, just a little warning to beware. And remember, you should NEVER have to pay your employer, it should be the other way around.
These scammers need to be stopped
