Dear Mr. McBride:
My name is Karen XXXXX and I was a customer of yours. I recently received an offer for a free trial for stamps.com so I took advantage of it.
I never understood what I was going to be charged from you, so I wrote a note on the postcard you provided me with that offered me $10 in free postage. I asked on this note if I was going to be charged and how much. I never heard back from your company. I purchased a little over $25 in postage from you. (Your customer service agents have since admitted to me that your departments within your company do not communicate with each other and the note I wrote was never passed on to the correct department).
I received an invoice for $18 from your company. Of course I am outraged. That's almost doubling the cost of my postage. (Not to mention I'd have to order more labels plus the price of ink to print these!) I can go to usps.com and order stamps for free or drive less than 2 miles to my local post office. Why would I want to double my postage prices?
I have contacted your office (ad nauseum) to no avail. While I'm sure your charges were posted when I downloaded the program and you are required to hit next several times. Anyone who has ever downloaded a program knows you just keep hitting next until it finishes. I do not know ANYONE who reads all of that information.
A funny note: I just had my IQ test done and found out I'm ABOVE average! Isn't that interesting? In the top 3% as a matter of fact. Yet somehow, I still didn't understand or know how much you were going to charge me. I find that to be odd. (Unless of course you didn't really want me to know what my fees would be).
I would respectfully request that my fees be credited immediately (all of them) and close my account. I was going to tell you that I would report you to the Better Business Bureau and usacomplaints.com but I guess that wouldn't really matter to you because you already have 49 complaints logged in against you on rip off report and 822 reports with the Better Business Bureau. HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT knowing you are making money by ripping innocent people off? Next time you step into your expensive car, or swim at your million dollar mansion, remember you got to have these items by ripping off middle class America. I hope you're proud of yourself.
