I signed up for this chat program and paid them money, this is the first email I sent to them:

I'm not sure who this should be sent to, but I've already talked to your guides, and it doesn't make me feel any better.in your FAQ you posted:

Why should I pay for chat?
Quite simply, you get what you pay for. And if you're going to pay for a service you have a right to expect better quality A free, open chat community simply cannot keep out the trouble makers. It's too easy for them to get back in after being thrown out, and it's too easy to cause trouble anonymously. A subscriber-based community can fix these problems. How? If someone gets thrown out for misbehavior and they need to pay for a new name to get back in, they'll think twice before doing something to get thrown out again. We refuse to accept new registrations from repeat offenders.

We've also added components to our software that give you protection from booters (people who enter the chat community using malicious software to kick others out) and tools for privacy, including permanent ignore.

This tells me there is hope for me. That I can pay you for this service and not be harassed. I've done the ignore thing, but they find ways around it, they either change their names or they go through other people. Now i'm receiving hate emails. And no my email doesn't have an ignore it just moves it to junk email.

But that should never be an option, I shouldn't have to go into seclusion or change names to get away from these people. They know for a fact no one will do a thing about it, and they are having their fun.

I left VP and have been gone for 5 years. I recently decided to come back and have been back about 3 weeks. I don't mind paying for the service, but I am not paying for this. This is the same reason I left VP to begin with, was all the drama. It's so childish. Now I am paying for this service and I expect some service and results. I want this to stop! I don't want to live my VP life on ignore, just STOP the harassment, PLEASE!

So I waited and this was the response I received next:
This message is going to all the account owners involved.

I understand there's been some problems between these two accounts.
I'm putting everyone on notice... It has to stop. There is to be no more IM'ing or fighting in rooms. If y'all don't get along, leave each other alone. If you cannot manage that we will restrict your accounts.

The only way chat works is if we use the same rules of courtesy and maturity that we do in REAL LIFE. If you don't get along, move along.

Of course this upset me even more so I responded the following:

Thanks, VPchat Support And this is my response to the moron that didn't take the time to actually sit down and pay attention to what I had written previously: You know my parents used to do this to me. My sister would do something wrong and instead of blaming her directly like they should have, I was included in the punishment as well. I promised myself I'd never do that to my children and I don't.

So as an adult I have a choice; either go ahead and get lumped in a group of people that harass, stalk and terrorize and just go on like nothing happened, or I can tell you I refuse to pay you for this service when I am placed on notice, when in fact I haven't done a thing wrong and I was the one that reported the problem instead of fighting back with these people. So I think I'm going to opt for the latter. Cancel my account! Let them continue to terrorize other's in your service, because it will happen again. And I'm going to make sure that anyone and everyone I know, hears about the treatment I received from your company and to expect the same service. Cancel the Account, Jody Hines I don't think you should get off that easily. The way I see it, you can't afford to lose this many paying customers. I am taking all the emails I've sent you and that you've sent me and I am going to post them on the internet, because I want everyone to be aware of your practices. When someone asks me about your services, I will send them my web address where they are, so they can decipher for themselves. Jody

As you see, they make people pay for their service so that they can get rid of people that harass and cause problems, but when the problem was reported the first step they took was to put me on warning as well. When I never responded to these vicious attacks from the people I reported. It seems to me that they are just taking our money and ripping us off and not following through on what they promise.
