This individual sold me a vacuum manifold (a component that controls the A/C in my car) for my vehicle for $16.00 with shipping. When I received the item it was broken. The shipping carton was intact and there were no pieces in the carton. The seller described it as a working pull sold "as is". I took the chance that it might not work but I never expected that it would arrive broken, and not even installable because part of one of the mounting brackets is broken off. I generally look at seller Ebay feedback for one month to see how they were rated that month and he did have some negative feedbacks but they seemed to be shipping issues.
After recieving the item I looked farther back into his feedback and found that he had sent items not as described to at least 8 other buyers and that was only at page 5 of 70. Granted $16 is not that much for an item such as this but it is not about the money but rather about unscrupulous sellers who get-away with ripping buyers off to make money.
This is like the old bait and switch. I filed with paypal and ebay and he is claiming that I removed the broken one from my car and I am trying to return it for a refund. It is sellers like this that degrade the Ebay experience for many! Thanks Sevag!
