Peoplepc customer service is terrible! If you're looking for a headache this is the place to join! Not only do they keep you on hold for 15-20 minutes, but "Jonathan" yawned loudly, dropped his headset twice, cackled as he explained I was a member of peoplepc since 1904!! He was obviously on something... So I hung up on him and called again.
I have called at least 7 times to cancel my membership. The first time they didn't have my account info and told me to call back in a few hours due to "computer matienance". Finally, I had someone tell me that I didn't have to worry about cancelling my service since it was automatically cancelled after 90 days of not using the service.
This was January of '05. I just found out looking through my bank statements that they did not cancel my service and continued to bill me. I asked for a refund and they claim that no phone call was made - that there is no record of me cancelling. They suggested I call/fax headquarters to resolve this issue.
I'm writing a letter to headquarters and calling my bank and calling the phone company to retrieve the records that I did in fact call. I'll be sure to give an update... Sigh...
