Work at Home Scam! Fraudulent charges to credit cards scams Don't let them fool you!

On January 30, I read Online Supplier's advertisement that promised to provide instructions and a free trial set-up for an eBay auction home business opportunity. I called to get the introductory package, which was advertised for $1.95 (cost of shipping & handling). Although I was told to expect the package in 5-7 days, I have not received anything from this fraudulent company to date.

On March 15, I was reviewing my credit card statement and found a charge of $29.95 from Online Supplier, Long Beach, CA in additon to the $1.95 for S&H. Because of the length of time since ordering the free trial package (which I never received), I had quite forgotten about it.

I did some research on the company and recalled ordering the free trial set-up for $1.95 (S&H). I then phoned Online Supplier at their number listed on my credit card account statement. I spoke with a company representative named Woody and informed him that I was falsely charged for a membership that I had never used or had a chance to know if I wanted it or not. For one, I never received the promised instructions and two, how could I have had a trial period for something I did not recieve? He told me that he understood and would extend my trial period and send out another package but could not refund the $29.95 charges. Well that doesn't sound like a trial membership to me!

I asked to speak to his supervisor. His name was Josh. Josh basically stuck to the same story and reiterated that they sent it out and it was not their fault if I did not receive it and that he had no proof that I did not recieve it. Some customer service! Was he calling me a liar? I told him that I had no proof that he ever sent the package out either but from a service stand point if your company cared about its customers and staying in business you would aim to please! I further emphasized that I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY PRODUCTS OR SERVICES FROM THEM, and requested a refund of the $29.95. Once again, the Online Supplier representative, Josh, told me that the charges were non-refundable.

I then phoned the credit card company to inform them of the situation. I was refunded a credit through the credit card company. After investigating the company a little more I found other complaints like mine. Seems to be a reoccurance that customers do not receive their "introductory package" from this company. Yet somehow they do not want to take any responsibility for taking honest people's money and ripping them off!

As I have read others are doing, I will also be filing complaints with the California Attorney General's Office, Federal Trade Commission, and any other legal and Web watch keeping authorities just to put these preditors out of business. I strongly suggest anyone else that is a victim of this fraud to do the same. It is the only way to stop them.
