Problem: On September 21st I got a postcard from Buy.com denying my rebate claim for Kingston 512 MB Secure Digital Card stating that The Receipt you submitted was dated prior to the qualifying period for this promotion.
On the next day itself, I called their rebate department and according to the person I have talked (JOEY), I faxed him the Receipt stating the qualifying rebates. Than my online rebate status was changed to Mailed Rebate Check on Oct. 05th 2005. After waiting for a month, I once again contacted the same person as I didn't receive the rebate check. He assured me that this time they have mailed me a rebate check and online status was updated to check mailed on Nov. 4th. I didn't received the check till the end of Nov. And once again I called them and I was told the same story that they have mailed me another check.
AND, TILL TODAY, I HAVEN'T RECEIVED THEIR REBATE CHECK. Thus from sept. 21, it will be 90 days over tomorrow and still i haven't recived my rebate claim. According to them, 3 consecutive checks they have sent me are lost in mail. I have never had such experience from any other rebates but Buy.com. According to them, all their checks are lost in mail.
Thus, I would like BBB to consider this issue for fraud i.E.
(1) They denied my completely valid rebate claim and
(2) They lied to me stating they have mailed me rebate check 3 times.
Please note that I have with me all the papers I have faxed Buy.com with the transmittal report stating date and time on it including their first denial postcard they have sent me.
