I had purchased a lap top from Circuit City in La. I entered the product key # and traveled to Lexington on business. Upon arriving there I had problems with the lap top and went to Circuit City in Lexington. They exchanged the lap top for me. I told them that I needed the product key # for that lap top and was informed that they couldn't give it to me unless I gave them the card with the key # that came with the computer I had returned. I explained it was in La. And they informed me that I would have to get it or I should call Microsoft to get a new #. Microsoft informed me that it was Toshiba's resposibility to supply me with the #, Toshiba informed me that it is Circuit City's resposibility to supply me with the #. I had the initial card from the 1st lap top mailed to me in Ky. And when I went to Circuit City to exchange it for the new card, they informed me that they no longer had it and I would have to contact Microsoft again. I explained what I was told and what I went through and they still refuse to help me.
Bottom line is I have a computer that will be totally usless to me in the next few days and I do own the company that I am travelling for with this computer that is totally usless to me..
