Best Buy Unprofessional, Arizona et. Al

Whoever is reading this... DO NOT, I repeat... DO NOT sign up for a Best Buy card. Better yet, don't even support their poor business practices by shopping in their stores. I have held a card for well over four years and have always made payments. When having fell a few days behind and then sending in more than double the payment amount, it was too late.

The jerks sent me to their collection agency "Corporate Receivables". Confused, I contacted the collection company and dealt with a jerk who demanded the full balance.!!!???!!! Now, if I had the full amount, wouldn't one think that I would just pay the darn thing off?

In any case, after many negotiations, I agreed to pay an amount that would put a strain on my living expenses, but needless to say, it was paid.in FULL.in all instances, I was the one to make contacts to ensure that nothing would be listed on my credit report. Each time, I was reassured that my report would reflect "Paid In Full" and that it would NEVER reflect that my account went to collections. Hog Wash!!!

My report does in fact reflect "Collection Action" but paid in full. These folks are nothing but sleeze bags who should be put out of business. Unlike MOST creditors who understand an occasional late payment, provided late fees are paid... This company wants all their money up front regardless of the reasons behind the late payment to begin with.

To avoid the multitude of headaches that will incur from obtaining credit with these folks, I'd advise you to refrain from getting sucked into any of their payment promotion plans - deferred payment, etc. Etc.in addition to NOT getting credit with them. It'll haunt you.

BTW, I've gone to several Best Buy locations in various states and let me just say this... They could all use some help in regards to "customer service". None seem to have any.in fact, on one occasion at the Palm Desert location, an employee mocked my spouse and I after asking for clarity on a computer desk... We asked, "You mean $40.00?" The employee responded with "Yeth, Fotey doller", talking in a tone that would depict one with a mental handicap. We were apalled and reported the behavior.

Surprise Surprise... Nothing was done about the incident and the pathetic individual wasn't even written up for his inappropriate behavior. How's THAT for customer service folks?
