AOL sure got me good. I had signed up for them and was fairly happy with them. Then I decided to go with a different company because they were offering a good deal on DSL. So I downgraded my account to the unlimited access with a different ISP in January. I think it was the 10th of March, I decided to drop AOL so I called them up and I thought everything was cool, until I checked my checking account balance on the 27th of March and noted that aol had taken $232.00 out of my account. I called them up and they told me that I had signed up for their 5 hour plan. Which I know for a fact that I did not! Of course not knowing I only had 5 hours, I went way over that. They did offer to pay me $116.00 back since it was obvious that "I" had made a mistake. Also they had no record of me cancelling my service. I'm glad I noticed the money missing out of my account before any checks had bounced. They also told me that I changed my billing plan again the 19th of March to their 1 hour plan. Why would I have done that when I had cancelled the account? I am so frustrated and feel extremely victimized. I will never deal with that company ever again!!!
