Hello, my name is shatina. I have a bank account with bank one. I use my debit/credit card online to pay bills, and make purchases of clothing, electronics, and homegoods quite frequently.
I noticed two charges on my bill showing as ap9*homeworks $11.95 and ap9*connections $11.95 each month since around february.
I will admit that i honestly thought it was a charge for my internet service with msn, because the total which is $23.90 is about the same as my having internet service.
I never noticed any charge coming directly from msn so i honestly assumed these 2 $11.95 charges were the charges. However today i finally study my bank statement online and i noticed that this time around msn charged my account 10/05 for $21.95 and the two mysterious charges from this ap9* were charged on 9/29 for the 2- $11.95 amts.
This prompted me to do a google search and find out what kind of company this was. Apparently they are a marketing company that automaticly enrolls you as a member upon making a purchase on whatever site they maybe affiliated with. And apparently you, the purchaser, authorize the acceptance of the membership without even realizing by checking a box of some sort.
Thinking that your doing nothing more than making a purchase of whatever item or service that you are aware of and intending to buy.
After reading all of the other complaints it honestly sounds like too much of a hassle to ask for a refund. However i would just like for the company to rid all my information, close whatever membership i may have with them and never charge my bank account again. I have contacted both the company and my bank, so hopefully i will be able to come to a resolution that will be suffice.
I just want to put in my comment to support anyone else who has experienced the same problem, because this is a very scary, fraudelent situation. Any company that is going to charge your bank account, credit card, or whatever on a monthly basis should at least be required to send you some type of bill so that you are aware of who they are and what it is you are paying for.
I have not a clue as to what my benefit would even be to pay $23.90 ttl a month. They have to be kidding! I don't like spending that much on a phone bill let alone anything like whatever they are offering me. Thank you for reading
