Incredimail
Continuing rip-offs to premium customers Internet

I purchased the Incredimail 'IncrediBundle' in April (for nearly $50) because I liked the program, having tried their free version. All went well for a while. I was very satisfied.

Then, a year or so later, a vast amount of the e-mail content (stationary, animations etc), which had originally been available to me, to download from their website, was withdrawn from my use unless I paid Incredimail more money each year for the use of their 'Gold Gallery'.

E-mail content which had been available to me before, when I purchased the software, was no longer available to me unless I paid them more. I reckon about half of the content previously available was put into the 'Gold Gallery' leaving me with a pretty poor choice of content compared to what I had available before.

Future new Incredimail content was also put into the 'Gold Gallery' leaving those who would not pay for the 'Gold Gallery' with a continuing poorer selection of e-mail content to use. ALL e-mail content was available to me when I purchased Incredimail; the content was one of the main deciding factors in my purchase of the software, but now they'd taken half of it away from me and put it in their 'Gold Gallery'.

I complained to Incredimail about this, only to find they send a standard pre-typed response, not addressing the issue, but offering you a 10% discount if you sign-up to their scam. Future complaints from me over the issue recieved much the same response.

Recently, Incredimail announced an upgrade and I, along with many thousands of others, was foolish enough to upgrade to what I thought would be a better version of the software. I was horrified to find that this upgrade was merely another money-making Incredimail scam. The e-mail junk filter previously incorporated into the program as part and parcel of that program which people had purchased (a very important part of the program) had now been removed.

Instead of the incorporated junk filter, Incredimail now showed a little flashing icon offering you their amazing 'JunkFilter Plus' which, for something like $40 yearly, you could now use. If you now wanted a junk filter (and the previous one, incorporated in the progran was just fine), you now had to pay for their new junk filter $40 every year. You couldn't opt to keep the old junk filter because it wasn't there anymore!

Naturally enough I, along with many others, bitterly complained to Incredimail about this abuse of their customers and, you guessed it, I received pre-typed standard replies with an offer of a 10% discount for my first year if I signed up to their 'JunkFilter Plus'. Once again their e-mails did not address any of the issues.

You may say, "Well, why didn't you uninstall the new scam-Incredimail version and reinstall the old version you had before?" Incredimail make it virtually impossible to do this for other than tech-savvy users. Firstly, the older version of Incredimail is no longer available from their website downloads and is very difficult to find anywhere else on the Internet.

Secondly, even if you can get your hands on the older version (which you need), you find it impossible to reinstall that older version without going into your computer's registry and manually deleting registry keys. Even though you have uninstalled the latest version of Incredimail (which you don't want), what it leaves behind in the PC's registry is the means to stop you reinstalling any older version. You have the old version Instalation file (if you're lucky enough to find one somewhere), but you still can install it on your PC. It's rather like Incredimail have installed a virus on your computer to stop you reinstalling what you originally paid for.in most circumstances, you're stuck with what you have therefore, even if you hate it. You cannot normally go back to what you had before.

Thus, Incredimail are blackmailing you into having no junk filter at all or paying annually for their new 'JunkFilter Plus'.in normal circumstances you cannot go back to a previous version of the software, a version that gave you the Junk Filter as part of the program. Does that not sound like a calculated and criminal rip-off?

Don't take just my word for all this. Previously loyal Incredimail customers, all over the world, in software discussion forums are furious at what Incredimail have done to them. Twice recently, Incredimail have scammed their customers out of what those custmers paid for as part of the program they purchased and part of the service which was supposed to compliment that program.

I cannot help but think Incredimail are in breach of contract to their paying customers and are therefore acting illegally with each of their rip-offs. I cannot understand how an excellent software program (well, I thought it was), could be sold, and then the customers it's sold to could be so mistreated by the software company (Incredimail).

Customers of Incredimail, all over the world it seems, are livid at Incredimail's cavalier disregard to all the norms of civilised business ethics.

Incredimail must not be allowed to continue in this fashion. Rogue companies, such as Incredimail has become, must be brought into line. Cold, standard pre-typed answers to real complaints such as this, with an offer of a discount if the customer signs up to the rip-off, simply isn't the way for a civilised and once-respected company to behave.

We, the paying Incredimail customers demand that the software (along with free upgrades we were promised), and the unlimited use of e-mail content, which we originally paid for, be restored to us. We demand that upgrades are TRUE upgrades in future, not a money-making con disguised as an upgrade.

Why have you done this to your loyal customers Incredimail? We used to sing your praises: now we loathe you.
