I have purchased two computers from Ubid in the past two months. The first one I assumed was just a mistake when the AM-Comps computer was advertised as having a slot for a 4x AGP video card. Shortly after receiving the computer I opened it up to put in a video card as the integrated video card hardly works with games or intense video. The mother board was a cheap board and did not have a slot for a video card. I contacted UBid immediately and they tried to tell me to take it up with AM-Comps and gave me a long distance number to call. I complained and they finally agreed to take the machine back.
Since I thought this was a legitimate mistake I purchased a Hewlett Packard refurbished computer which clearly stated that it had a NVidai TNT2 Pro4x AGP 32Mb video card. Today the new computer came and I sent the Am-Comps back. Tonight when I went to put more ram in the computer I noticed that again there was no slot for a video card on the mother board. When I did some diagnostics on the computer I found a 16Mb onboard integrated video card. I went on the web site this evening only to find that they are selling the machine that I thought I would receive for $150 more than I paid for it so it is clear that the bids did not get as high as they wanted so they sent a look alike machine without the video card which probably costs $75. Worse yet is that the motherboard is also inferior as it sucks ram out of the system ram to run the video card.
DON'T BID on any COMPUTERS from UBID. You will not get what you think your are, and if you don't know alot about computers may never realize it.
