Complaint / Review
CompUSA
Advertises rebate, provides invalid rebate form, then refuses to pay Ripoff

I purchased the product because of a $10 rebate advertised in CompUSA flier and filed rebate with form provided by CompUSA

RebateHouse and manufacturer both say CompUSA advertised an invalid rebate, and will not pay.

After multipe calls to all parties (phone and email), CompUSA (I've corresponded with CompUSA at least 10 times) continues to tell me that the rebate is valid and then tells me that I need to
1. Contact the manfacturer or rebate house
2. Let them work on it

The rebate should have been paid in 10 weeks. It is now more than 16 weeks and no one can tell when, or even if, this will be paid.

I've had enough. I should not have to spend more than a dozen hours on the phone to get this rebate paid.

CompUSA advertised the rebate. I fulfilled all the terms and conditions. I have copies of my receipt and rebate form available,

I request that CompUSA immediately pay me the rebate.

Thank you for your prompt attention

Desired Settlement: Refund
Settlement Explanation:
CompUSA advertised a $10 rebate. I fulfilled all the terms and conditions.

Therefore, CompUSA should

1. Promptly pay me the $10 I am overdue
2. Reform their rebate practices so customers are not in the middle of confusion between CompUSA and its vendors
