The big companies must think we are all idiots out here. Sometimes I wonder about myself! My daughter went in the navy 1 1/2 years ago and I called AOL @ that time to disconnect the service. Like someone else had said they sweet talk you into keeping some sort of service with them. I was paying 29.95 a month told them to just give me the cheapest rate so if she needed she could check email or whatever... $4.95, OK, thats good.
That was in Feb. Of 04, last month I'm checking my bank account there was a 764.10$ amount taken from my account!!! I almost had a nervous breakdown serious, just paid my billS and none of them had cleared yet. Knowing already how AOL operates I was very nervous, upset etc.
Why in the world didn't they bother to contact me before this happened? Would this ammount not through a red flag up to some one? Hell no because they don't give a S*#% about us folks out here its all about the money.
Low and behold I must have touched his heart that morning guess what I got refunded that very day. SHOCKED Then came July statement, The debit was only $154.95 petty cash BS I WANT MY DAMN MONEY BACK. The sweetheart from last month talked me into changing from $4.95 to the $14.95 plan.
Remind you now my Navy baby thats 18 is stationed in Okinawa Japan for 2 years. This all for her. The sweetheart has nothing else to say. Can't find where the charge is coming from because neither my daughter nor myself use AOL period.
My brother inlaw writes software swears AOL does nothing but catch all the trash. Trash attracks trash. Dont mean people website trash.
Anyway this month they are refusing to refund my $! MY kid dosen't use AOL! I don't use AOL! Her old srceen name does! I'm clueless.
I've had that old computer in my office since March my ISP is sbcyahoo and I'm very satisfied with them. Had never thought anything about using AOL but apperently they thought about using me!!!
Every one be aware they will screw us all if given the opportunity
