This report is against Soyo and TigerDirect.com retail store in Raleigh, NC.
In August I bought a barebones kit that contained SOYO motherboard. There were several rebates, two of which were for the SOYO motherboard. I immediately filed for all rebates and within 3 months I received all other rebates BUT SOYO REBATES.
Now... It is March. I have still not received my money back from SOYO.
I emailed Soyo several times, and Soyo even replied stating that my rebate request had been received and that THEY WERE SENDING THE CHECKS. This was in Nov.
I actually got to talk with one of their accounting people in December who confirmed and gave me check numbers that were sent out. I am not sure whether to believe this...!
Jan the same accounting person (that was a surprise!) told me that there is nothing she could do. They would not void the missing checks and send me new ones.
Starting Jan I have filed a complaint with TigerDirect store where I bought the computer. THey are of absolutely no help. I am told that the manager is handling the complaint... Who is never there no matter what time of the day I call or show up in person. When I called the 800 customer service number, the manager actually admitted to me that they can't do anything. Not even register a complaint!
Now it is March Soyo does not answer the phone and directs me to verifyrebate.com. I have written to them... And await response.
As suggested in one of the reports on this site, I plan to file a complaint with the Post Office, Better Business Bureau and whoever else I can think of.
