Is Microcircuit a scam? I tried to contact them and they never returned my phonecalls. Ripoff

I am extremely dissapointed at this point. Just recently, I came across the Microcircuit website. I saw their products and decided to buy a laptop on credit. So, I applied for their credit and the website told me I was approved. (I assume this was jsut a pre approval) Then, I read all the terms, conditions, etc including the fact that $39.96 would be electronically charged as a processing fee if my loan was approved. (it also promised to triple this amount that I can use as store credit.) OK. Fine. The next screen instructed me to fill out more data such as bank numbers and the product that I want to purchase.

So, I went ahead and submitted this form. (The unusual thing was that the form stated that I was bound by the sale at this point forward (including loan payment schedule, etc). So, I assumed that I was fully approved. However, the next screen instructed me to print out this paper application with a voided check, rent receipts, etc. (alot of documentation just for a consumer loan?)

So, I was confused at this point (Was I really approved or not?) So, I decided to call them, but I couldn't get through to their number. (message said that number was unavailable.) Then, I finally did get through to an answering machine. I left several messages with my phone number. They NEVER ONCE return my calls. (Hmmm strange???) Then I went to their website (seems that they don't publish their email) and sent them messages online.

BUT here again, they never sent me an email. However, they did charge $39.96 from my checking account. I am just wondering if this was even legal since I doubt that I even was approved for the loan. (If I was approved, why did they require me to send a paper application form??? I never sent this in! The terms clearly stated that the $39.96 was an APPROVAL fee!) I will continue to try to contact them to see what is going on.

If I do not hear from them soon, I assume they are fraudelant and I will be ready to take legal action against them. If they don't return my calls, what reason do I have to believe that I would receive my computer after giving them $900 downpayment? I feel like I've been scammed! Seems like there are tons of complaints against them!

My advice to anyone is to AVOID this company like the plague! The circumstances at this point lead me to believe that they may be fraudalent and I will support all legal action to prosecute and/or put this company out of business.
