In Sept we received a phone call from Technology Awareness Club that we could receive a free Gateway Computer and other free great gifts. All we had to do was pay $289.00, and our computer and state of the art camera would come in the mail. After receiving the camera which was a piece of junk (we would have been better getting one from a cracker jack box), I returned the camera certified mail, along with all documents.
The scam was that you had to pay for an internet service before you could receive the Gateway computer. This was never mentioned in the phone call to give away a so-called free computer. We have repeatedly asked for our $289.00 back, never received it & never received a phone call back. Major Major Rip-off Artists. Shame on Gateway computer for getting involved.
