I want to notify customers and business opportunity seekers about an online MLM type program name Referralware.com. To get you to become a member, they offer a 7-day "free" trial period in their advertizing. When you sign up, you must give them your credit card number and if you decide to stick with the program after you 7 days, your credit card will be charged.
However, on November 9th, I cancelled my membership within 24 hours of signing up and I received a confirmation stating that my credit card wasn't charged; that charge wasn't posted to my credit card when I checked it. Nonetheless, when I got my 2004 year end credit card statement, I saw that my card was charged $39.40 for a service that I didn't use and to date, that charge is still on my credit card. Hence, I'm paying for a service that I didn't want because I think it's a third rate program that offers recycled info that can be found on several internet websites.
I want the public to be aware of these types of scams and the dishonesty of these scammers masquerading as legitimate business opportunities.
