This online version of the print version of Variety, offers a free 14 day trial period for which you must give them a credit card. They say if you decide to cancel before the 14 day trial expires they will simply not charge your card and cancel your membership. They LIE! I signed up for AND cancelled a trial membership on the same day (Sept 1st) and I made them confirm in an email that the account would be cancelled and my card would not be charged. They charged me anyway on Sept 15th. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TRIAL MEMBERSHIP if you are not positive that you want their online service because THEY WILL CHARGE YOU EVEN IF YOU CANCEL THE FREE TRIAL BEFORE IT EXPIRES!
