Fake Long Distance Bill on Toll Restricted Line England Internet

I opened my phone bill on New Years Day to discover that I had two long distance charges to a number in England. I was on vacation at the time these calls were made, but on top of that I pay $3.50 a month to have a toll restriction on my phone. I CANNOT make long distance calls, even by using a 10-10 number.

I finally got in touch with someone at the company charging me with these calls today, who explained to me that "someone must have gained access to my computer, and that they clicked the 'I Agree' button on a disclosure statement on my computer, which then made the calls to connect to a website in England." As a courtesy the would remove the charges "THIS TIME". Isn't that sweet of them?!?

Now, after reading all of the info on them, I understand that the virus that my computer picked up may possibly explain why it has not been running right for the past two months. My question to all of you... Is it possible to get rid of the virus, and if so, how? And, now that my computer has this virus, has anyone thought of taking them to court for the price of a new computer? Possibly if we could find the right attorney to take this on, we might be able to put them out of business ourselves. If they are cashing checks that people send them to pay these fraudulent charges, they have to have a bank account that a freeze could be put on, right?

If we were all smart enough to find the fraudulent charge on our bills, and look up info on it ourselves, surely if we banded together we might be able to make a difference!
