Below is the letter that was sent to me 2 weeks after I sent in a mail in rebate for a 1GB USB 2.0 Thumb/Drive. I checked the rebate 3 times and even made copies of everything, including the letter I sent out, and folks... I made absolutely no mistake what so ever, however, I got this scam letter in the mail today!

Okay Folks, not only are they asking this scam question "IF YOU STILL WISH TO PARTICIPATE" but the letter is also signed by a department not a person!
SO ask me how certain am I that I sent all the appropriate information. Folks I got all the scanned copies of everything. I went over the rebate at lest 3 times before licking the envelope and sending the letter out... So what on earth prompted this letter??? Well I'll tell you... Statistics!!! Statistically only 20% of people will persue their $20 dollar rebate. Therefore it is cheaper to ripp people off and give rebates to whom ever calls them up demanding their rebate back. The other 80% will not even call. There is your scam folks... WHAT A DIRTY SCAM AND COMPANY!
I called them and told them over the phone the Proof Of Purchase Bar Code Number and the number on my Sales Receipt. They initiated the rebate to me, however, why on earth would i get this letter and then have to call them and read to them my copied receipts. IT WAS ALL IN MY ORIGINAL REBATE LETTER TO THEM!!! BIG BIG BIG SCAM SCAM SCAM...
THEIR EXPLAINATION WAS..."The letter must have been damaged therefore damaging the UPC bar code number" OR "You missed sending in the correct bar code number on the package. Meaning that there was 2 bar code numbers, 1 for the manufacture and 1 from us"... Well folks I have the package in my hand and there was only one number and bar code on it and I sent it in. Second they got my letter so how damaged was it if they still got it... Lmao. What a freaking scam!
Memorex, you @#$%$%^& (*! Don't ruin over 40 years of your engineering ideas. The scam money is not worth it!
