AMMY Bait and switch. Refund process obsurd

I am a small computer repair company who has been searching for a low cost alternative Remote Support Desktop Software for supporting our customers remotely. I bumped into Ammy Admin on a Google search result and checked it out. It seemed very promising especially coming from Russia considering all I seem to get from them is phishing emails coming from.Ru email addresses. I tried out the free version and for the most part it was simple and easy to use as described. The only ridiculous feature missing was to be able to chat messages back and forth with your customer but voice chat is built it but most prefer chat via messaging. After testing and finding out it had a 15hr/mo use per each ID, NOT IP, I decided to take it up a notch and try their Premium v3 by buying it which states "no time limit" comparing it to the "Free" or "Start v3" which states "Possible access limits, if software is used beyond 15 hours per month. Conditions of restriction can be changed without notifications to users." After further testing the Premium v3 I noticed my version did not show it was a free version which was correct HOWEVER the dummy computer I was using to test said "Free - For personal use only."

I called up their support, which by the way is the same guy every time named Stefan S., instructed me that if a Premium v3 to Premium v3 was remote connected the 15hr/mo limited would be lifted and would be considered unlimited time. However this means that you would have to purchase a license for every client you support remotely if you require more then 15hr/mo. This is absolutely ridiculous. It clearly states that a "Premium v3" license has unlimited time yet when you want to support a customer you might as well use the free version because your only going to have 15hr/mo connection with them. How it is explained on their sales description is that if you purchase a "Premium v3" license your computer will have unlimited access. And it is assumed that if you "Premium v3" account is connected to a "Free" or "Starter v3" account that the "Premium v3" account should take precedent and the limitations should be lifted. I don't know about some technician's but repeat business is a big factor as well as if the computer is heavily infected virus scans can take hours sometimes days to remove. Just recently I was successfully able to remove infections on a computer but it took close to 3 days to repair because not only the computer was bogged down by virus's making it very slow but I also had to fix damage done by the infections and 15hr/mo does not cut it even close.

All that being said I could not see this benefiting my business when I would have to purchase a license for each customer if it were to go over 15hr/mo. This also tells me Ammy Admin is most likely more of a corporate software and that would make more sense to purchase licenses for each computer since the computers aren't going anywhere. I contacted support and requested a refund. I was instructed that in order to receive a refund I would have to fill out a support ticket, I would then receive instructions as to where to send a snail mail to, probably Russia, so it can be processed and refunded within a couple weeks. That is absolutely the worst refunding process I have ever heard of. Not only is Ammy Admin's sales tactics a bait in switch, in my opinion, but their refund process is unheard of. After arguing with Stefan S. About this ridiculous refund procedure I was given the phone number to their payment processing company with a phone number of 866-933-4313 called Pay Pro Global. I dialed every single extension I could including waiting for someone to answer during normal business hours and I was always forwarded to an answering machine. This is very shady. This whole process is shady. Bait and switch, weird refund policy, the same guy answering the phone. Something tells me Ammy Admin is run by a kid out of his parents basement somewhere in Russia. Bottom line everything sounds shady now.

Because of a very shady and poor refund policy as well as a bait and switch sales tactics I am forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company and write this review. I will also be writing a review about Ammy Admin on the BBB website after this. I would almost call this company a scam but they are not quite there yet. However I would call it a big fat bait and switch sales tactic and I do not tolerate this.
