I have been actively looking for employment for some time now and while I was working out at my gym LA FITNESS Upland I saw a flyer listing various jobs from entry level sales up to the GM level. I have a sales / marketing and management background so I applied online and submitted my resume to Joe/Jose Torrecillas. I heard nothing after a week so I followed up with the GM Bret, after a few rounds of phone tag he told me to come in for an interview. Bret is a smart kid but he is so brainwashed into the whole LA FITNESS Propoganda Model that he cant see the forest through the trees, so he creates this whole elaborate sheet of how the pay rates increase exponentially upto the GM level. Salaries of a 100k plus are thrown out as a proverbial carrot by Bret, after about 5 minutes he asks if I would mind driving to Arcadia from Upland to meet with Joe/Jose Torrecillas the District Vice President. So, I drive an hour to meet with this guy and he never shows up, 3 hours later one of the managers in Arcadia got ahold of Joe and he decided to do a video interview... He asked me a few questions about my background... Then he said to call him and we would meet at Upland this week. I called this guy several times and set up a 1pm meeting and didnt get to sit down with him until 230Pm... At this point I start telling myself that something just isnt right with these people from a professional business stand point. Joe proceeds to tell me the same BS Bret did that 150k to 215k a year can be expected in the job he is going to give me... He asks me when I can start so I said Monday. Last minute On Friday Joe tells me to come to a training/Meeting on Saturday, so I get there the whole thing is just a deceptive sales pitch on how to manipulate people into buying their mediocre products. After I saw the philosophy of these douch bags... They can take that job and shove it!
