MWI, S&H Fraudulent, unathorized charges against bank account - RIPOFF Nationwide

This company, PREMIER HEALTH PLUS, has recently charged my account in the amount of $249.95, w/out my consent or knowledge. Luckily, I noticed this amount the day it after it happened. I contacted my bank (Compass) and let them know that this WAS NOT authorized and that I had never heard of this company.

They've since cancelled my card and issued a new one, and have begun the process of disputing the charge (READ: Time and paperwork). I've taken a look at my bank statement, and noticed several charges from "MWI", that until now I shrugged off... These sneaky bastards - they were charging my card w / $1.95, then crediting it back to me, in what I believe to be their way of checking to see if the bank info they had for me was correct, in order to finally pull out a large sum of money. The day before they charged the $249.95, they made one final charge of $1.95... Again, sneaky b#%$^%$s.

Their name during all of these transactions shows up as "MWI Preferred Member Services S&H", or in this final instance, "MWI Premier Health Plus". I'm supremely happy that I found this website after conducting a search on the web for that company... I intend to follow the advice on this website and am going to contact the Attorney General in Texas to file a complaint, and come hell or high water I'm going to persue every possible means open to me to bring them down. I whole heartedly encourage ANYONE who has had to deal w / these people to do the same, to include cancelling whatever card or account they charged and get a new one.

*On a side note: I believe this company may be affiliated in some way w / a magazine company I've recently done business w/, whose name appears as "NME Magazine Order" on my statements. This was a company who charged me four payments of $67 for a four yr subscription to about 5 or 6 different magazines. Just recently though, they've been contacting me to verify my account info in order to lengthen my subscription. Although I've turned them down repeatedly (fours yrs is enough, don't you think?), they've continued to do so, but almost always w / "yes or no" type questions... Almost as if to get a recording of me saying "YES", in order to rip me off in some way. Could there be a connection here...?
