A District Manager for Meda Pharmaceuticals in Orlando, FL come into a physicians office and I overheard him speaking about a new therapy treatment option for rhinitis that is called DYMISTA. The manager was discussing how their company will launch this new treatment option that is the first nasal steroid & nasal antihistamine combination. I did my homework on what the active ingredients are for this spray and it turns out that they are TWO GENERIC sprays mixed together. This pharmaceutical company just REPACKAGED TWO GENERICS and will soon be actively promoting to their physicians a "combination" spray that will cost our healthcare system well over $ 100 a bottle. When in reality doctors could offer the same treatment therapy by writing two separate prescriptions for each generic spray that would drastically save the consumer money, and the healthcare system money.
