I signed up for a monthly membership at this salon. I then realized it was incredibly dirty and outdated. There is no air conditioning and the fans are weak at best. The beds are old, they look like the first tanning beds ever invented. The doors don't even work properly. There are buttons covered all over the salon that cannot be touched which just shows how poorly it was designed. I just feel very dirty and gross in this tanning salon. It is way too hot to be a tanning salon and should be much cleaner.
Also, the people that work there are very miserable and rude. They treat their customers terribly. I once went to use a bed that was not working. I went into it and it didnt work. I got dressed and went to the desk and told them. They then proceeded to blame me for the non working bed when i had done nothing what so ever. I have seen them do this to many customers. One time, my friend requested a bed and the employee responded saying some dumb customer broke the bed cause they didnt follow directions and now nobody can you use it... Which is completely unprofessional.
Another scenario was that i called requesting to cancel my membership. They told me i had to come in on the first of the month in order for it to be cancelled by next month. Well Google posted their hours wrong and so i was 15 minutes late to cancel. I emailed and called and the woman so rudely said there was nothing she would do to me because i shouldnt have trusted googles hours and she wouldnt override the system and let me cancel my membership so i therefore have to keep paying even when i wont be in the town or the state.
I wish someone would do something about this because i am a college student at UMass Amherst and this is the only tanning salon we can really walk to and its absolutely disgusting and they are miserable and its a rip off. Theyre so expensive and completely trap you with their services.
