Co. Changed warranty from 90 days to 30 days Internet

I ordered a pair of glasses on 12-24-11 on 3-3-12 a total of 70 days when I called to ask about the warranty process I was told that someone would contact me, 2 days later I received an e-mail telling me that they had changed the warranty period to 30 days from 90 days as of 1-1-12, this smells of a bait and switch scam.

I believe I should be afforded the original warranty period under which the glasses were purchased (What do you think?)
